PPTC resettable fuses are produced with a patented Polymeric PTC (PPTC) material in thin chip form. It provides over current protection. At normal operating condition it remains at a low resistance and allows the electrical current to flow through without restriction. When overcurrent conditions occur, the PPTC material heats up and its resistance increase sharply.
