Resistors and potentiometers are passive electronic components that oppose the flow of either alternating current (AC) or direct current (DC). 

Current sensing resistors convert the current flowing through it to a voltage drop. Monitoring or measuring this voltage drop allows the current through the resistor to be measured. Applications for current sensing resistors include power supplies, receptacles, and battery packs. 

Potentiometers, rheostats and trimmers are three-terminal resistors that are used to measure or divide voltages, and to protect or control circuits

Linear potentiometers are sensors that produce a resistance output proportional to the displacement or position

Digital potentiometers are three-terminal resistors with an adjustable center connection. To set the output resistance, a digital signal is sent through an electrical interface

Resistance standards and decade boxes provide a highly accurate standard value of resistance for calibration and testing.

Calibration standards and reference sources include any source that can provide a reference for the calibration of an instrument or comparison of a material or component.

Decade boxes and dividers provide highly accurate and digitally variable standard values of resistance, capacitance, inductance, voltage and/or current for calibration, comparison and testing.

Temperature controllers accept inputs from temperature sensors or thermometers, and then output a control signal to keep the temperature at the desired level.

Specialty industrial process controllers are used in unlisted, specialized or proprietary applications.

Web tension indicators measure and report tension parameters in web or other flat-sheet production processes. Some types of web tension indicators have control functionality as well.

Pump controllers monitor flow and/or level variables, and control a pump accordingly to maintain the desired levels. Pump control can include simply turning a pump on and off, or more advanced controls for pump speed, output pressure, etc.

Batch controllers maintain the correct size of a discrete batch of process material, such as the volume of a liquid. They are often interfaced with sensors such as load cells, or with volumetric flow meters.

Humidity controllers monitor and maintain proper humidity levels in environmental test applications, food storage areas, and electronic equipment rooms.

Brake controllers are used to control braking systems. They can simply engage and disengage the brake, or control the speed of engagement, breakaway torque, and other variables.
