The USAE™ washers combine attributes of USS standard washers with SAE attributes. The outside diameter (OD) conforms to USS standards to provide up to 36% larger size than standard hardened washers, creating more contact area and greater holding power. The inside diameter (ID) of the washers conforms to SAE standards, which provide a smaller ID to create a more precise fit on bolts and studs.

Jergens USAE washers are up to 37% thicker than standard hardened washers for greater strength. They are mild steel, case-hardened to 60 HRc and have a black oxide finish. All are made in the United States. The bolt size is stamped on each washer for easy identification. A range of sizes to accommodate bolt sizes from ¼" to 1" is available. Tolerances for all dimensions are ± .010".
