Storage Battery Systems Inc. designed the STT Series to accommodate a wide variety of applications when the discharge duration is equal to or exceeds 15 minutes. The Lead-Selenium alloy tubular plates resist corrosion to extend service life & increase surface area to improve a high-rate discharge profile allowing it to be specified in UPS applications. The STT tolerates frequent cycling making it ideal for substation recloser systems. Of course the STT will perfrom well over long duration deep discharge events as well. The 6v jars are available in 220 to 330A/h while the 12v are in 55 to 165A/h. Naturally the STT batteries are available with the SBS "Hazard Safe Zero Drop Insulated Intercell" connector. Water intervals of 1-3 yrs are facilitated by easy-fill, flip-top flame arresting vent caps as standard. The STT comes in flame retardant ABS/SAN (UL 94 VO) as standard & its Selnium alloy constructions withstands temperatures to 130 F & like all STT product, possesses a patented brass insert leak-proof post seal design. A specific gravity of 1.240 is standard but other values are available upon request.
