Fairview, PA - March 20, 2006 - Spectrum Control, Inc. now offers it's complete line of Filtered Terminal Blocks in RoHS compliant models. Spectrum's RoHS compliant terminal blocks are available in Barrier Strip or PCB models. The rugged construction of these blocks protects the filter element from damage that is common during changes in field wiring. Every part is 100% tested for key parameters. Spectrum customers are currently able to order both standard and custom designed RoHS/lead free filtered terminal blocks. Prices range from $8.00 to $36.00 depending on models and quantity.
Spectrum's barrier strip filtered terminal blocks are designed to provide excellent EMI/RFI filtering of AC and DC power and control lines. They are UL recognized and CSA approved for DC voltages. These terminal blocks are available in 2 to 6 terminal configurations, have an operating temperature of -55 degrees C to 105 degrees C, a working voltage of 100VDC, a capacitance range of 2,500 pF to 5,200 pF and a current rating of 20A.
Spectrum's PCB filtered terminal blocks provide high insertion loss for EMI/RFI filtering of DC power and control lines. The PCB terminal blocks are available with 2 to 12 terminals, have an operating temperature of -40 degrees C to 80 degrees C, a working voltage of 100VDC, a capacitance range of 2,500 pF to +80% / -20%, and a current rating of 12 Amps max.
Typical applications include telecommunications equipment, cellular base stations, linear power amplifiers, cellular microcell repeaters, industrial, scientific and medical equipment, power supplies, instrumentation and power distribution.
RoHS/lead free compliance is based on the European Community Directive 2002/95/EC calling for a restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The six substances specifically addressed are lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium Cr (VI), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).
