Pushbutton Enclosures

Pushbutton Enclosures

Rittal Corp. has expanded its product line of pushbutton enclosures to include heavy-duty models constructed of carbon steel and stainless steel. These rugged and versatile indoor enclosures are used to house pushbuttons, selector switches, pilot lights and other devices. Designed with continuously welded, smoothly finished seams, these pushbutton enclosures protect contents from dirt, dust and sprays of water, oil or coolant to help ensure trouble-free operation. Constructed of 14-gauge carbon steel for strength and durability, the carbon steel pushbutton enclosures feature an interior and exterior polyester-urethane powder coated finish over a phosphatized surface to enhance corrosion resistance. UL and CUL listed, the enclosures are UL Type 4, 12 and 13 protection rated. The 14-gauge Type 304 stainless steel pushbutton enclosures feature interior and exterior surfaces with a #4 brushed finish. UL and CL listed, these enclosures are rated UL Type 4, 4X, 12 and 13. The standard holes in both types of enclosures accept all brands of 30.5 mm or 22.5 mm, 4-way, oil-tight pushbuttons, switches and pilot lights. Several of these enclosures can be mounted on a Rittal column and base for use as an operator station. With external mounting brackets and captive stainless steel cover screws, installation of both the carbon and stainless steel pushbutton enclosures is quick and easy.
