Industrial control panel builders use flexible stranded wire, also known as flexing, Class K welding cable or finestrandedwire in their control panels. It is easier to install and reduces panel size. Some end customers require the use of flexible stranded wire.

Until now, to be UL and NEC compliant while using flexible stranded wire, it was necessary to use crimp-type ringlugs investigated for flexible stranded wire.
