Elgar Electronics Corporation announces the ABD100 Test Suite, a powerful software package that greatly simplifies power bus compliance testing of components and subsystems for the Airbus A380 aircraft. Used in conjunction with the SmartWave™, Elgar's premier AC source, the ABD100 Test Suite provides a simple, one button solution for generating the vast array of complex power waveforms required to certify products for use on the A380.

Running under either a Windows XP, or 2000 operating system, the ABD100 Test Suite utilizes the SmartWave™ Control Suite software, a general purpose utility used to control the SmartWave™, along with a large library of custom waveforms and sequences to allow the user to build test sequences according to the specific requirements of ABD100 and the device-under-test. With the AC and DC capability of the SmartWave™, the system is capable of testing to all of the 5 tables and the majority of tests defined in the standard.

For existing owners of the SmartWave™, the ABD100 Test Suite may be used with a simple upgrade of the AC source, assuring maximum use of their current investment. The ABD100 Test Suite software will begin shipping in mid January, with both individual pricing and combined SmartWave™ and Test Suite packages available.
