The GS1 series of AC drives are AutomationDirect's most affordable and compact inverters, offering V/Hz control with advanced application features. The GS2 series of AC drives offer all of the features of our GS1 drives, plus dynamic braking, PID and a removable keypad. The drive can be configured using the built-in digital keypad or with the standard RS-485 serial communications port. The standard keypad allows you to configure the drive, set the speed, start and stop the drive, and monitor specific parameters during operation. Each GS2 drive features one analog and six programmable digital inputs, and one analog and two programmable relay outputs.

Simple programming

The GS series is designed to be easily programmed by the average technician. The operator interface is designed to minimize the number of keystrokes necessary for data entry. Default values were carefully selected to minimize the number of parameters that require modification for most applications.

Communications

GS AC drives can be easily networked with our extensive family of DirectLOGIC programmable controllers (PLCs). Each GS series AC drive has a built-in MODBUS RTU, RS-485 communications port that can be configured to communicate in two simple steps.
